HEAT TREATMENT FOR BED BUGS

Most pest control companies use synthetic poisons called pyrethroids, to eradicate bedbug infestation. Albany Pest Control offers a totally green solution for getting rid of bedbugs, without resorting to the use of poisons that are environmentally unfriendly.
For chemical / pesticide treatments to be effective, the poison used must come into contact with the bugs, which is nearly impossible as bedbugs live in the tiniest cracks, inside of furniture, in carpets, on drapery. Bedbugs cannot survive in extreme heat. Albany Pest Control relies on heat treatment to eradicate bedbugs without the use of poisons.
Bed bugs cannot survive in high temperatures therefore we treat every surface in the building, with heat, which in turn kills all stages of bed bugs, including the eggs.

After our initial consultation, we will agree on a treatment plan. On the treatment day we will place our equipment discreetly and place air-moving equipment throughout the setting to distribute heat evenly. After setup, heat treatment takes approximately 6-8 hours. It takes this long because we want every surface to reach a specific temperature.
We place digital temperature readers throughout the setting, and monitor all surfaces so they reach the desired temperature.
Once the treatment is complete we remove all equipment and restore the environment to its original setting.
